How it works

You forward the bill. Mayo handles everyone.

No spreadsheets, no chasing, no awkward messages. Four things happen between the bill arriving and everyone being square, and none of them are your job. Then the chores, the chat, the list and the calendar come along for free.

Forward the bill. Mayo does the rest.

Snap a photo or forward the email to your house address. Mayo reads the amount and due date, splits it between whoever shares it, and tells each person exactly what they owe and where to send it.

  1. Forward it

Email the bill to your house address or snap a photo.

  2. Mayo splits it

It reads the amount and due date and divides it between whoever shares it.

  3. Everyone gets a link

Each person gets a payment link with their exact amount. Mayo follows up, not you.

  4. Mayo confirms it

When the receipt lands, Mayo marks the share paid and tells you the money arrived.

  • InternetForwarded from email$80.00
  • WaterPhoto of the bill$48.00

$96.00each

$384.00 total

Mayo confirms the payment itself.

Every other tool tells you who owes what. None of them close the loop. Mayo reads the receipt, so nobody asks “did you pay?” and nobody has to answer.

No receipt by the due date? Mayo follows up on its own, warm first, then direct. You never send a message.

  1. 9:00 AM

Mayo sends Sam a link: $64 to you, amount filled in.

  2. 6:12 PM

Sam pays in Venmo. The receipt lands in the house inbox.

  3. 6:12 PM

Mayo matches the amount and the name, and marks Sam's share paid.

Mayo6:12 PM

Sam's $64 arrived. Everyone is square on electric.

How Mayo talks.

Warm first, then direct. Mayo names the amount and the one thing to do. It gets firmer over time, never sarcastic, and anything about one person's money goes to that person alone, never to the group. Most days there is nothing worth saying, and Mayo says nothing.

MayoTue 9:00

Internet is $20.00, due Thursday. It goes to Sam.

MayoThu 9:00

Internet is due today. $20.00 to Sam. Your link is ready.

MayoSat 9:00

Internet is still open. $20.00 to Sam when you get a moment.

Bills first. Then the rest of the house.

The same Mayo that splits the electric keeps the chores turning, sits in the house chat when you want her there, keeps the shopping list, puts the hard questions to everyone, and puts it all on the calendar.

  1. Chores rotate themselves

Kitchen, bins, bathroom. Mayo moves each one round the house every week, and reminds whoever has it the evening before the day they picked.

  2. A house chat with Mayo in it

Say @Mayo and she answers from what the house has told her. Say you'll do the bins Thursday and she offers to put it on the list, one tap to accept.

  3. On the calendar you already keep

Due dates, your chores and the settle day, on your own calendar. Or one link for the whole house that any calendar app can subscribe to.

  4. The list, and what you settle together

Say you're out of dish soap and Mayo keeps it on the house list, then hands it over when somebody's going to the shop. When the house has to decide something, she puts it to everyone as a poll, one tap each.

The bins are yours tomorrow. Tick it off in the app when it's done.
